CMC Marquees was delighted to provide production tents on-set for Celebs Go Dating: The Mansion earlier this year. The complex production required an on-screen tent as well as several structures behind the scenes to facilitate with filming. These temporary structures included a main gallery, storage tents, and a number of tech hubs.
The 324sqm main gallery formed the control centre to the production. We incorporated internal partitions to keep everyone separate and safe during a period of high covid restrictions. Multiple glass doors throughout the tent kept isolated access to the separate areas and made for a warmer environment for the time of year, as opposed to our standard PVC sides. A heating and air conditioning system installed into the roof also aided in creating a comfortable environment for the crew, whilst also managing the heat coming off all the technical equipment and servers.
Marquee for Film and TV
Marquees for Television and Film come with their own unique challenges for each production. Each tent is designed with care and attention to ensure the space suits the needs of not only the crew and extended teams, but also neighbours and the public.
Being that this was a 24-hour production based at a private residence, the team were very cautious of ensuring minimal impact to the neighbouring properties. Blackout linings were installed to ensure no glare from the tent would affect the local residents.
To create minimal impact on the property itself we laid a carpeted layer under the main gallery tent with water weights to protect the tennis court it was located on. We laid trackway to protect grass areas from vehicles throughout the production. We also provided PPE as well as handwash stations, antibac stations and hand towels for on site usage to aid in protecting crew and cast in line with the restrictions at the time.
“Nothing is too much trouble for the CMC team – they are always there, going above and beyond to provide the best service. CMC provided the marquee for the Gallery on Celebs Go Dating, along with copious other last minute requests and never failed to deliver! They were a key location supplier and will always be a go to for future series.”
