General Questions
We are more than happy to carry out a site visit. This allows us to see the space and understand your requirements in order to provide the most effective solution for you.
Not at all, our structures go up to 25m wide and almost any length! However, there are options to go wider than this is required.
Yes, the simplest is grass as we can stake the structure straight into the ground. But if you have tarmac, concrete, paving etc. we can water or concrete weight the structure externally.
We are very flexible. Once we know your requirements we can look into availability and build dates. Or, if it’s something you need ASAP, we will plan everything our end as quickly as possible – if everything is available we could be onsite within a week.
General guidelines are that you need planning permission for any structure which is in place for more than 28 days. We would advise speaking with your local authority regarding planning permissions and are happy to help with any paperwork which may be required. It would also be advisable to speak with your landlord if you are extending warehouse space or installing within your grounds.
Yes, we would advise the site to be secure to the public. This will reduce any damage made to the structure or tagging. This could be provided by fencing the structure in, having a secure fence around the whole site or having security of site 24/7.
The size of marquee you require will vary depending on your needs. For example, the size of your equipment, the number of people or guests you wish to accommodate, and whether they will be sitting or standing in the space. To make sure we supply you with the perfect marquee, it’s always best to give us a call so we can discuss your requirements.
Our Head Office and warehouse facility is based on the outskirts of Bristol, giving us easy access to the South and South West of England, but we also go further afield for events and frequently travel throughout the UK for our clients.

Party/Wedding/Corporate Event Questions
Yes, we hire a wide range of furniture along with our structures. We have very good relationships with several specialist suppliers to find the furniture which best suits your requirements.
Yes, we have links with many other companies who can provide extras;
- Lighting and Power – we a have a technical provider who can provide anything from LED strip lights to full lighting rigs at West End Shows. Along with the power to support.
- Heating – our heating supplier can propose the correct heating for the size and use for the space needed. Whether that is an overhead ducting system or electric heaters they have everything you will need.
- Floor coverings – we can provide the correct floor covering suitable for the structures end use. This could be a vinyl covering which can be cleaned easily in catering or dining facilities, or carpet for a more luxe look.
- Security fencing
- We are happy to look into other requirement you may have as well and see what we can offer.
There will be some minor damage from the base of the marquee onto your lawn and holes from the stakes; however, these should both subside in no time. We take every precaution possible not to cause any unnecessary damage to your land.
Yes, there are options to level out the flooring of the marquee, we would just need to visit the site to see what the ground levels are of offer the best solution.

CMC Marquees is purely a marquee hire company; we love to help with the design of the marquee and more, however if you are looking for management services we have a very close relationship with Alastair Currie Events who offer excellent event planning, and can help plan every aspect of your event if you so wish.
This is very job dependant, we would always work wit you or the venue to find the best time to install and dismantle. Whilst also considering the time it may take to install the décor internally.
Long Term/Storage Questions
Depending how long the structure will be in place we have a few different options. Either water weights, concrete weights or we can drill and bolt into the ground.
Yes, we have links with many other companies who can provide extras;

- Heating – our heating supplier can propose the correct heating for the size and use for the space needed. Whether that is an overhead ducting system or electric heaters they have everything you will need.
- Security fencing
- We are happy to look into other requirement you may have as well and see what we can offer.
Other items you may want to include to improve the security of the structure are;
- Solid walls
- Doors, which can be locked when the structure is not in use.
- Roller shutter doors – giving way for access for forklifts etc.
This is all possible, it might be that your requirements do not suit our ‘stock’ products. For example, you might need a 4m leg height or higher. This is not a problem as we can create a structure that is bespoke to your requirements.
We can provide you with lighting systems for use 24hrs a day, as well as security systems. If the structure is near housing, opaque roofs can also be a good option in order to reduce light bleed at night.
Any amount of time! Structure are made to last 10 years or longer depending on the type of structure you have. We will always recommend the structure best suited to your requirements.
