A couple of weekends ago we worked alongside our sister company Alastair Currie Events as their client required additional space for their birthday party being hosted at their stunning Gloucestershire family home.

After some consideration it was decided that a 6m x 12m event marquee would be the perfect size for this client’s needs.

The majority of the space being used inside was delegated bar area.The Waiting Game built and fully stocked one of their glow bars which suited the space perfectly. Behind the bar area featured a false wall which unknown to guests, leant space to an area for bar stock plus any additional event equipment to be stored.

The marquee quickly filling with guests

A selection of glow poseur tables and stalls were dotted around the main marquee area offering a place for guests to perch later into the evening. A bed of flowers right next to the client’s door leading out into the marquee, was left un-covered adding an additional element of decor and also meaning that the beautiful plants were left undisturbed. Win-win scenario!

The event marquee was lined in ivory giving the venue a smart and sophisticated look. Later into the evening after the sun had set, with the help of uplighters, glow furniture and bar, the marquee was illuminated in a purple hue which really warmed up the atmosphere and kept the party going into the evening – which was also possibly helped by our heater!

A  variety of cocktails were served from the bar and guests danced the night away on the dancefloor just a step away from the marquee.
