Bristol Life Awards’ Finalists Part 2

The next couple of finalists both host festivals in Bristol. A big part of our city are the many independent festivals that are held here, and without these, Bristol wouldn’t be the same fun and wonderful place to live in that it is today.

Bristol Craft Beer Festival run a festival which is all about modern beer and brewing. It brings together the best independent, small breweries from Bristol and from across the UK, Europe and the US. It’s a lot fun!

What does it mean for your company to be a part of the Bristol Life Awards?

It’s fantastic to be recognised. It’s nice to know that are business is part of making Bristol such an amazing place – makes all the stresses of events feel worthwhile.

What’s been the biggest achievement of Bristol Craft Beer Festival’s time so far?

Hard to say, last year was great, but I think it’s greatest achievement will be this year’s festivals.

If you could give one piece of advice to a start-up Event Company, what would it be?

Plan, work with experts, stay calm.

What would you like to achieve in the next 2 years?

We’re moving to Harbourside so we’d like to deliver an amazing festival this year, and then grow it next year. I think we can global recognition of this event – that’d be great.

Next up we have Valley Fest, a family friendly festival just outside Bristol set in a stunning location overlooking Chew Valley Lake. It takes place on The Community Farm, and celebrates organic food and farming, with a big tasty serving of silliness and lots of incredible music to discover and good times to be had.

What does it mean for your company to be a part of the Bristol Life Awards?

We’re thrilled to have been shortlisted for the Best Event in the Bristol Life Awards, as Bristol is an incredible place, with so many wonderful events.

What’s been the biggest achievement of Valley Fest’s time so far?

2018 is the fifth year of the festival – so having put on four incredible festivals, each one better than the last feels like a huge achievement. Getting more people on the farm and sharing the beautiful land and the message about organic and sustainable farming is very important to us so to keep reaching more people is wonderful.

If you could give one piece of advice to a start-up Event Company, what would it be?

Don’t do it! Only kidding! Just stick to your guns, keep going, even when things get hard, which they inevitably will. If you believe in something, you can make it happen.

What would you like to achieve in the next 2 years?

World domination obviously! But failing that, we would like to reach more people and talk about the importance of organic and sustainable farming for the future of our planet. Plus get more people to come and party with us. That may mean increasing the size of the festival, it may also mean taking it to other locations across the uk. We’ll see!

Whether you are feeling slightly light headed and a little bit merry, or like you’ve taken in a big dose of wholesome fresh air, both these festivals will provide something edcuational and get your taste buds tingling.
