For wedding season this year, partnered with the tremendous Alastair Currie Events, we erected such an incredible array of marquees with wonderfully different styles. Here are just a few of the weddings we were lucky enough to be a part of.
The couple’s wedding was held at the bride’s family home, the perfect location in the heart of Bristol. Beyond the client’s lawn and down some steps laid a tennis court, where the marquee was built.
The wedding was in early July, and the weather did not let us down. The build took us two days, and the end results were phenomenal.
The semi clear marquee had clear roof panels at the front, and panoramic window walls all around the sides leaving one immersed in the green surroundings. The clear roofs were decorated with festoon lights, which looked stunning against the night sky.
The central area of the marquee had ivory pleated roof linings, which gave a more traditional feel. This combined with the modern clear windows and roof, created a really effective design element. The vintage chairs and tables, and the silver round bar complemented the style of the marquee exquisitely.
On the other side of the bar, at the other end of the marquee was a reveal curtain, which hid something special from guests during dinner. Once the curtain came up, to the guest’s amazement, a nightclub area was revealed. The roof was lined with starlit black cloth, the dancefloor with white starlights, as if one was surrounded by a twinkling night sky. It was the dreamiest of places for the couple to enjoy their first dance, and then guests to join them after.
