A Memorable Marquee in a Merry Meadow

Although it was one of the first weddings of the season, this is certainly not one to be forgotten, it was definitely one of the more unique designs we have created. We teamed up with Alastair Currie Events to erect this marquee in the client’s field, where it stood in all its glory.

Entrance

The green astro pathway led guests through the meadow, and delivered them to a beautiful Chinese hat entrance with Birch trees stood either side. What a way to begin a wedding, with an entrance as stunning as this.

Blessing area

As guests arrived through the Chinese hat and into the marquee, they were introduced to the blessing area, which the green astro carpet continued into. This lay on top of the hard wooden floor that ran through the length of the marquee. White folding chairs were placed in curved rows, facing towards the altar where the bride and groom stood and took their vows. The blessing area had ivory pleated roof lining, with clear panoramic windows. The sunshine filled the room as the ceremony took place.

Dining

Once the blessing was over, guests moved into the dining room. Clear windows ran around the sides of the marquee. There were no linings, or clear roofs, just a bare marquee structure, which worked beautifully as vibrant floral decorations hung from the ceiling. The magnificent arrangements were reflected into the mirrored table tops, as if the table covers themselves were decorated with a floral pattern.

Nightclub

When dinner was over, the reveal curtain was elevated, and guests moved towards the nightclub area. They watched the loving couple enjoy their first dance. Black linings and a black dancefloor created an intense, romantic atmosphere. Once the first dance had finished, guests would join them, to continue the celebrations long into the night.
